*HELP* Hub/bearing carriers using MK indy setup

Hi,

Starting to get frustrated now trying to find the bits I need...

I am building a Locost using MK Indy IRS setup. I have the rear wishbones and hub carriers from MK Indy. I want to have a disc brakes, so I purchased Sierra rear calipers and hub carriers however the two do not fit.

The Sierra hub carrier will not fit inside the MK indy one and the bolt holes do not line up.

Does anyone know what I need or what have you guys used? I have pics of what I've got button cannot figure out how to put an image on this post. They can be found here... http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=995784

Will remove the pic link if its not allowed!!

Cheers,

It depends on the rear hub carriers that you have.
There are two different types, one for drums and one for discs.
The hubs on the drum uprights will mount with the bolt holes vertical, the disk hubs
are mounted on approximately a 35 deg angle and have a cut out on the top rear
edge.

Just looked at the photos and you have got disk uprights. The hub mounts with the mounting lugs facing the rear and should bolt straight on.

The hub carriers I purchased from MK are for discs, as are the ford ones as they have mountings for the calipers.

I'm not sure if I am getting confused and trying to use the wrong bits?

Cheers,

Its getting the two hub carriers to match which is the immediate problem, I will move onto caliper problems once I've solved this one
