Tapered seats

I have a set of Wolfrace Slotmags which I will be fitting shortly, but need a set of nuts, the taper 'appears' to be 90°, but is more likely to be 60° - does anyone know for sure

Don't you need two part (nut + chamfered washer) Wolfrace type nuts like these?

Wolfrace FIT Sleeved wheel Nuts -14mmx1.5 thread (VW) on eBay (end time 19-Apr-11 16:38:14 BST)

Obv in the correct thread.

30° does seem a very shallow seat?

Looking at the picture they look very much like standard ford tapers which I think are 60 deg's. I would get hold of one and just try it for fit. HTH Ray

To make a car go faster, just add lightness. Colin Chapman - OR - fit a bigger engine. Chippy

looks like a Peugeot type fitment which has a slight taper and flat washer (205 gti) but they use bolts not nuts

I reckon you are right, certainly looks like a Ford taper which would make sense if it's Ford PCD.

To me they look like they originally took sleeve nuts and have been 'adapted' for taper nuts. What diameter is the hole?
