Loose steering column help
Got a sierra steering column which keeps working its way loose at the point that it goes through the bulkhead. Ive got the proper sierra bits fitted
at that point. Ive tried the tie wrap thing but it still happens!
Any ideas?

I used jubilee clips to hold the column into the bush. One either side. Works well

I drilled the column and put a roll pin next to the bush -it will only come out now if I want it to.

I used a bearing setup after I got the same problem as you. It is much smoother and there is no play whatsoever. I think the bearing itself cost £10
or so. If you do a search on here, I think it should come up - I think several people on here have done a similar thing.

As the post just above this ^ I did the same on advise from the North West Hoodies forum, it's from Revolution bearings and theonly mod is to
sand down the Sierra plastic bit to fit in , it works very well

Will start with the jubilee clips either side, just 'cos ive got them in the garage, and go from there.
Thanks again.
