t5 gearbox
Can anyone tell me the dimensions of the t5 gearbox?
Want to see if it fits down the locost tunnel.
Or does anyone near oxford have one that I could come and meassure?

Chop up the tunnel and build it back up around it!

Or, if you have an ebay account, you could ask
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SIERRA-COSWORTH-T5-GEARBOX-BITS-NEEDS-REBUILD-COMP-/180512415031?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=
item2a0760dd37
Or anyone else selling one on ebay

Yes I am watching it on ebay, and may ask him, he currently has a couple of T5s for sale.
Just wondering if anyone has the measurements to hand, or is local then I could take some measurements (probably easier).
Does the T5 have the same prop connecter as a Type 9? Or is it completely different?

Re: some gearbox dimensions wanted please?
Just back with the tape!!!
BW T5 is 745mm stick to front edge of bellhousing. Width wise its 190mm centreline to extremis on startermotor side and 170mm on other
side....didn't measure the total length to confirm prop suitability though...doh
Must try harder

There are some approximate measurements (say +/- 10mm) of my set-up below, but these don't include the width unfortunately, which is probably the
most important dimension. I can get some better measurements for you, but not until the week after next.
V8 + T5 dimensions
FYI, the output shaft is approx 27" mm diameter with 25 splines. Not sure if that's the same as a Type 9...
