track rod end?

I currently have my track rod ends set up as below (drivers side is shown)

and as you can seetack rod is is slightly ofset, with the bigger bulge towards the back of the car.

Now I was looking to replace it and bought what I thought was a rhs track rod end - see below

which as you can see is not the same.

Have I put them on the wrong way around, or have they shipped me the wrong item. I ask because I did order a rhs track rod end and the new one has R stamped on it.

cheers
Craig

Hopefully the images from the picture acrchive can be seen.

the one with R on it is the offside one.
the offset is to give more clearance to the rim of the wheel at full lock.
seen many on the wrong way.

So, if I have them the wrong way round, do I need to swap them over/correct them?. Does the current set up effect the handling?
Cheers
Craig
