Wishbone bolt question
Due to the size of the holes on the wishbones (20mm and 15mm), do you think it would be ok to put a tube with an od of 20 and 15mm, and put a bolt
through the middle wish washers to secure it on either end?
How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

I think he is wanting to use a smaller bolt in the hole. i.e. use a M16 bolt (15 mm don't exist?) with a sleeve to fit the 20 mm diameter
hole.
is so then that is fine, M16 a bloody huge, I cannot imagine anything on a car's suspension needing a 20 mm bolt!?
or may be something toally different as I am assuming the diemnsions refer to diameter and not length.

The bolt hole in his wishbones is HUGE, he wants to bush it down to something smaller.

Surely it's just a normal suspension bush that it requires?

Normal suspension/wishbone bushes would bring it down to 12mm or 1/2" is that what you need?

The 15 and 20 mm is with the bush fitted. If i removed the bush, the hole would be much bigger.
Does anyone know or have any 20 or 15mm od offcuts for beer money?

What i would like to do is put a tube with an outside diameter of 20mm and say and inside diameter of 16mm, through the hole and put an M16 bolt
through the inside of the tube with a washer either side to hold it in.

If the wishbone has a metalastic style bush, the sleeve would have to be a very tight fit in the bush to prevent any rotation.
Perhaps you could approach this the other way, and sleeve down the hole in the wishbone (after removing OEM bush) down so it can accept the standard
polybush that most locosts use?

If you look through the various websites with aftermarket bushes you might find one that will suit your OD and bring it down to a sensible ID. You
would need to remove your existing bush.
Or if you sleeve the inside of the 20mm how about just tacking it on to the existing crush tube so it works correctly on the metallastic bush?
