What is a lobro flange on a ford diff? and is there any way of telling a diff is ok from a picture? there is no possible way to check the internals!

'Lobro' is a GKN Driveline tradename for the driveshaft system so refers to the CV flange.

The one on the right has the Lobro flanges.

I think you know already the answer to the question about telling if it's any good from pictures. The only real way to tell is to load it - that is, put it in and try it.
