I will be getting my Soarer's split rims refurbed soon and I am wondering what colour they should go.
As you see from the pic below, they are a silver & polished combination but should I paint the spokes the same colour as the bodywork (very very
dark green) or polish them as well.
Any example pics would be a bonus.
oops I forgot the pic

Just in case anyone doesn't know what a Soarer looks like, here is a similar beastie

I quite like the body colour coded look with poliched rim edge. But I'm not sure it would suit against the split rim bolt heads - possibly a bit bling IMHO. Overall I'd say get them refurbed in a slightly darker silver all over and have done with it.
is this what you bought to replace the Aeon?
I think personally I'd leave them as they are. Certainly wouldn't colour them.
Metallic grey/graphite would look good.
Clear lacquer
as a big bbs fan i would say silver but black looks good too
this is my wheels for my mk1 golf cabrio project for thr wife

you could send them off to image wheels - to get the rims polished then ceramic coated - they charge £10 per rim to coat in ceramic - finish isnt too
bad and no polishing to do.. any colour other than dark grey thro to silver would work but colours just look toooooo japanese syleee - or as my son
says - gran turismo-ish
'ally cat' alloys look cool on a soarer - guy over the road from where i used to live has one - like the capri mk 1's used to use
Ceramic coating would certainly be more durable but how would it stand up to the occasional kerb touch? It might let water underneath or start to chip
off. At least laquer can be touched in as a last resort.
These pipes were ceramic coated and look really nice.
