Today I managed to do some work on rear uprights and thought I share this with you.
After 11 hours of milling one upright finished and another needs hour and a half more machining. I will finish it tomorrow . Rescued attachment Rear upright machining.JPG

Thanks guys ! It really is no big thing to make something like this if you have right equipment at hand. Also it helps if your boss is on holiday at the moment.

DIY Si - 31/7/07 at 07:27 PM

How long has he gone for?

And how many can you make?

I could let his tyres down at the airport if that's any help.

omega 24 v6 - 31/7/07 at 07:55 PM

WOW are they machined from a solid block of (looks like steel). Must be a lot of waste material (is the boss paying for that as well)
STUNNING PIECE OF WORK.

doughie - 31/7/07 at 08:12 PM

v tidy!

dpavlov - 31/7/07 at 08:29 PM

Yes, it was solid block of steel, weighing 35 kg and now its down to 2.2 kg. Thats a lot of chips.

oadamo - 31/7/07 at 08:54 PM

adam

smart51 - 31/7/07 at 09:12 PM

You machined them out of solid steel! I really don't know what to say. They are beautiful pieces of work but the phrase over the top doesn't come close.
