Driveshaft advice

I have a Chain Diff from a Sierra lsd (think it is a 4 X 4) and I need some advice about the driveshafts.
I intend to get the driveshafts made to accept the Ford inboard CV and a Rover 214 outboard CV/stub.
Can anyone point in to where I can buy the inboard CV (part numbers if poss) and also tell me how they are attached to the driveshaft. e.g is it a splined shaft that end?

It is for the next car, but not F1.
It will be an R1 powered Atom type open chassis with minimal panels.
I already have £6K worth of parts!
I just need to sell mine to make space to start building the chassis.

The diff CVs are Lobro (bolted joints). 6*8mm bolts hold it in place. There are different size Lobros just to confuse things....

I'd be suprised if they weren't used to using Lobros as well....

if they are XR4x4 CV flanges (which are common) they should be 100mm OD.

If that's the case, tell them your shafts need splining to suit ford 100mm 25 spline lobro joints, at the inner end.

Rover end......no idea sorry!

The rover ends I have, it is just the ford ends I need.
As to 6K, it soon adds up:
700 mile R1 05
Trickshifter
Power commander
DG8 indicator
Barnett clutch
Innovate wide band lambda and XD-16 gauge
Tilton Pedal set with brake bias
Veypor V2 dash
Stainless CAT
New Brake discs, calipers, hubs (rover)
Bright 6
Rod ends
Machined Rod end adjusters.
Fabricated uprights
Pair of seats, 3kg each
Handbrake.
Much more!!!!!!!!

I think that it will cost me another 3-4K more to build.

Just measured the drive flange on the diff and it is about 102 mm and the holes are about 43mm hole centres and 86mm pcd.

HI martin you mentioned that you had obtained a trickshifter -was it the full one with the downchange blip or just the electronic change if so got a few questions cheers gary

I am waiting for the trick shifter to arrive (ebay saturday), but it is the blip version.

HI martin again , would be intrested to know exactly how it works as i already have a klictronic and am looking at putting the blip /ingnition cut on it as well but just cannot get my head around how it does it( i know that its appears to replace the idle screw but how does it pull it out of gear then blip then put it back into the lower gear when it only moves once per button push??) cheers gary

The trickshifter does not change gear for you!
It is a sensor driven system that senses when you start to change gear and cuts the engine briefly. This allows the gears to change without any drive from the engine.
On down shifts it does the same except once in gear it gives the throttle a blip to match the road wheel speed to the correct revs of the engine.
It is supposed to give a smooth transition without having to heel and toe the throttle.

hi martin again,
yes i knew that but the bit that im trying to get my head round is(bear with me as i am knob when tryng to explain it)
you are in third and pull for second it can not blip while in third and the same insecound so how does it know the exact time to blip in between the two-does that make sense?
I am seriously looking at getting one to conect to my klictronic system to give me both ways clutchless changes up and down.

I think that it is the change of direction of your shift that tells it plus it must be connected to speed and rpm. Just a guess.
