hi all can anyone tell me if it would be better to put a washer both sides between the bush and the bracket or is it right how iv done it now thanks

Looks correct, Washers should not be needed on the inside, the inside faces of the bracket should clamp the steel inner bush when the crossbolt is tight. The Yellow bushes will then rotate on the clamped inner bush.
