I am thinking of buying some new wheels and rubber all round. The rubber mainly to try and get the power on the road instead of wheel spinning all
the time and for better handling, nice and sticky.
Wheel are a cosmetic thing. Currently i have got 15" 185 x 60 tyres. I have had a look at some and they talk about offset and all sorts. What
do i need to look for and can anyone recommend good wheels/tyres?
Cheers

I'm surprised your using 185/60's normally 195/50 is the size of choice for 15" wheels
Which brand tyres do you use and whats the spec of your car.
If youre struggling for grip I'd suggest you try using some Toyo R888's in 195/50/15 or Yokohama 048's or similar

I've done 1900 miles so far - no track but serious road blasts and so far hardly any wear
but at £67 each who cares - they are TDB and look good

just a couple of times and I just drive sensibly - no fast cornering and no flooring it
wheels are TSW

They look nice mate.
Are they not good in the wet then?
D
they are dry weather tyres only - not that much tread but legal
and wont disperse nearly as much water as a yokohama 021 or similar.
one of the troubles with them in the wet is that they cool down quickly which looses even more grip
Anyone heard of or have experience with Scudo Stunners?

If your getting serious about handling and putting the power down, give 13" wheels some serious consideration. lighter the better.

What sort of difference will 13" wheels make. Am i correct in thinking aceleration will be quicker and top end lower?
D
with that sort of power you shouldnt need anything bigger than 195s on 15" rims .13" wheels are far better and lighter and with these unless you have over 200bhp 185s are wide enough and this package will save weight too .if for all round weather yoko 021s .ive tried 032s and 048s the later being slightly better in the wet both superb dry weather tyres.why not look at compomotive crxs light weight and cheapish .my tyres or george polleys for tyres are worth a try
bulk buy on 888s
