what the story about covering track rods for SVA (haven't found section in SVA on this).

Is it the locking nut flat edges that are the problem? Or the rods themselves?

Convoluted tubing on top with cable ties ok?

You need to use something that looks permanent - many people have used electrical gland sheaths.

Can someone post a link or picture here?

My car uses rod ends but in the photo you can see a nut cover over the adjustment nut (I have lock wired this as it has been split to put it on). Also I have used edging strip around the mounting brackets, which also have cable ties low down to keep in place. All other exposed nuts have nut covers. The main thing is that everything is radiused more than 2.5mm.

ta - so it is the nut that is the prob - what about any exposed threads?

as I don;t want to take them apart, again!!! would making a round former and filling it with silicone sealant get me through?

It also has a lot to do with exposed areas. The sva use a 4" dia dome to put into your suspension. If a thread or edge or nut is covered by an object close by, then using the dome will show this up.
If the dome cannot reach this edge etc, then it is ok.
Some people have used a ballcock from a toilet cistern as a guide.
