I'm going to have a go at knocking up my own front wishbones tomorrow. My chassis is based on the GTS drawings, and I'm using Sierra uprights.

As I understand it, I should follow the book design, extending the top wishbone by 50mm and the bottom by 86mm. It this the whole story? Is there anything else I should consider?

Those figures sound wrong to me...

The bottom should be 2" ie. 50mm shouldn't it? That's 2" each side! For a total of 4" wider track.

The top should be less than 50mm as (I think!) the Sierra top ball-joint is set in-board relative to the Cortina.

I know that cortina uprights give 36mm more track than sierra uprights if put on the same length wishbones if thats any help. Well so I have been told anyway.

You'll want to move the top draglink tube of the top wishbone back (towards the chassis) 20 - 25mm to compensate for the strut hole being inbound more than the cortina. If you don't you'll struggle to get even neutral camber with the balljoint fully wound in.

Movement is supposedly more limited on the transit draglink balljoint compared to using a trackrod end balljoint and so the norm is to kick the toptube 'up' to stop binding in full compression etc.

I'd recommend mushroom inserts WITHOUT and offset hole.
