Hello,
Here are two pictures of the brake setup I have at the front of my Ginetta G27.
Can someone tell me what car they are from and what pads I need?
I've been informed these can be from Ford Sierras and the standard front pad across most of the Sierra range is MDB 1175 (using the Mintex
catalogue). I've also been told my calipers are of ATE manufacture. Is this right?
Also would Green Stuff pads be good for my car? Does anybodu know what pads reference I should ask for?
Any info will be usefull and appreciated.
Thanks,
Stefano

oups ... sorry for the size
(1) Yes they look like Sierra parts
(2) To be a 100% sure you can compasre the pads with with a pad identification chart -- most motor facors and accessory shops have them at the rear of
brake pad catalogues or you can down load one from the brakes international site.
(3) If you haven't experienced any brake fade while driving (ie pedal requires more effort to slow the car) you don't need anything other
than good quality standard pads that you can get locally or from brakesint or http://www.buypartsby.co.uk
Definately ATE (Alfred Teves) manufactured parts and it looks like a cut-down Sierra Macpherson strut.
Take this info' and the old pads to your local dealer and he should be able to match them up.
Defo take them to the motor factors to match them up. I ordered Greenstuff from their catalogue blurb and found there were two types, one a bit larger
than the other.
Several people have recently opted for Mintex 1144 instead of greenstuff and found they get better brakes. Mine are good but cant say they are
fantastic (only done 800 easy miles though!).
Fit mintex 1144 pads if you can, they are not expensive and are great in all conditions, and MUCH better than those green things
Thank you all for these informations.
I think I'll try to get Mintex pads from my local dealer.

Stefano
