Been in workshop all week so had a play on the milling machine making up some wishbone mounts too weld too chassis instead of the usual folded steel bracket, they do flex in race conditions ok on road though.

They give me perfect hole centers and also make it easy too get top too bottom mount dimensions correct.

The plan once welded onto the chassis is too cut out the "thinner" bit joining the two together, is just there as a jig really for mounting.

The angle milled onto the back brings them up square when offered up too chassis rails.

Still some radius's too machine on but what do you think ? good idea, bad idea ?

There not as heavy as maybe they look as the big square blocks on the end as been milled out too accept rose joints.

Hi Jon U got some kinda top-hat either side of the rosejoint to improve clearance on the rosejoint?? Cant see in the photo's

no its a 100% snug fit with the bottom of the hole tapped so i can if i decided too not bother with a nut and just put a frilly washer under the bolt head.
There is plenty of clearance for travel, at the wheel end it would have too have around 7" of travel before it fouled, if it goes that far I'm in bother anyway, but it would also break the rod end (i hope) rather than take the chassis out, i suffered bad chassis damage on the 1st GT1 due too the suspension been stronger than the chassis.
