what difference r1 r6 shock?
JoelP - 11/12/05 at 09:39 PM

hi all. Ive got a shock off an r1, just wondering if anyone knows if they are the same as the r6 shocks? Specifically, the spring rate. r6 shocks seem a lot cheaper ya see, im thinking of using a pair of each. Or should i just buy it and measure the spring rate?!

Also, does anyone who has a protec alloy bodied shock feel like weighing one? Id like to compare the weights, as the bike shock feels heavier than id envisaged.

cheers!

I will be using R6 - think you will find that the spring rate is 540 lbs/in
