'Scuse me, but does anyone have a photo of the layout inside the Sierra brake drum. ...and no I don't have a manual.

I think you've answered your question there. The Haynes manuals are a must really, only £15 maximum. So i dont have any phots for now, but i reassembled mine a couple of days ago. I can answer any specifc problems if you want to U2U me.

it's only from one side, but it might give you some idea. they're 8" drums, and i know the 9" differ slightly.

if you're going to invest in a haynes, make sure you get book 903, the turquoise one. it's a lot easier to find stuff then in the blue one (for the dohc)iirc, and the wiring diagrams are loads simpler too. the pink one is supposed to have a better explanation of type 9 gearbox disassembly.

don't buy one new, get to a car boot, or charity shop. i bought my first sllightly used one for £3 at newark, and my second, absolutely pristine one for a quid from the sally army.

Tom, that's superb. I'm not just tight you know, it's just that we're fitting a crossflow 1100, have our own loom, etc etc so this is about all we need!
