are there different types of sierra M/Cs?

just wondering if they are all the same, cos ive got a fella on ebay asking if mine will fit his! and servos too...

Yes, there's a cast one and a pressed one. You can tell by the finish of it. They have different fixing holes, can you post a pic?

Yep, as per Northy.
Thin black one is the pressed number and the more common cast one is (was) a gold colour.

so there are black and gold ones? are we on about the servos here? cos my master cylinder was a regular metal colour.

No, just the m/cyls.

Also, the bolt holes are laid out differently. On the black one the bolt holes are laid at about 30° to one another.

There are 3 types, 2 cast and one pressed. I don't know the difference between the 2 cast, but the pressed one gives the advantage that you can just remove the servo and bolt the cylinder directly to the sierra pedal box without any further modification. Rescued attachment Pedals.jpg
