Yes, there's a cast one and a pressed one. You can tell by the finish of it. They have different fixing holes, can you post a pic?

Thin black one is the pressed number and the more common cast one is (was) a gold colour.

so there are black and gold ones? are we on about the servos here? cos my master cylinder was a regular metal colour.

There are 3 types, 2 cast and one pressed. I don't know the difference between the 2 cast, but the pressed one gives the advantage that you can just remove the servo and bolt the cylinder directly to the sierra pedal box without any further modification.
