OK guys, I used MGB uprights and GTS wishbones. To make them all work together I welded threaded ends into the upper bones and added a "same as the shock mount" tabs to hold the lower part of the trunion. I have -8 deg to +4 deg adjustability in camber, castor is fixed at ~4 deg.

Mark, they are welded fully on both sides. I have thought about adding a "cap" between the brackets like you drew...

As for a gusset, the shock mount is ~2" inside and the trunion brackets are ~ 2.5" inside

and that is a 5/8" rod end (aurora, rose joint, hiem) at the top...

yeah, it looks a bit like the new tabs on the bottom bone might be inclined to bend a bit under braking loads. No idea about the numbers involved though.

Good thought blue..they are made out of 2" X .250 cold rolled stock.

Maybe a forward and aft brace....

The design is an old one as seen in alot of the early lotus designs. Birkin used it as well. The system uses "standard motor company " uprights found on Spitfires and Triumph Heralds. The lubrication of the lower trunnion is critical. The Drawings come from the catervan and lotus manuals Tony Weales excelent book (rights where rights are due)
There is suppliers in the UK that will sell you a ford PCD bolt pattern for that stub axle in alloy .
This is probally a lot lighter than the tina or seirra ones we mostly use.
