Folks,
Bought my Wilwoods and associated Mintex 1144 pads from Rally Design some months ago, I got round to trial assembly today and they wont go together -
can somebody sanity check that I'm not being completely stupid (a high possibility!).
When the pads are assembled into the caliper, the 'ears' on one of the pads clash with the mounting bracket like so:

I have also mock fit the assembly without pads, and all seems OK...

Have I been sold the wrong pads, cos they werent bloody cheap!!
Cheers

pads are the wrong way round. the pad retaining clip goes on the opposite side of the caliper to the mounting bracket.
how you have it mocked up just slide the pads in with the mounting lugs at the back. the caliper will have a lug to retain the clip when fitted, plus
holes for the clip.
on closer look at your second pic you can see the pad retaining clip behind the caliper, remove that fit pads and fit the clip through the holes in
the pads and caliper.

Sweet! Told you I could vey easily be doing something stupid
Thanks for the quick feedback.
Back to the batcave!
Looking at the gap each side from caliper to disc the distance looks unequal. This may cause problems if I am correctly viewing your pictures (thinks).

Might want to get someone to check before using them in anger.....
I made a spacer between the drive flange and disc to bring mine inline. Only 2mm so no probs with wheel studs or spigot.
They're fine apart from the pad issue (now fixed thanks to the collective wisdom) I didn't manage to fit the retaining clip the wrong way
(as they simply won't go together - but appreciate the concern as its always good to have a second pair of eyes!). The pic was only a mock fit to
figure how they went together - now fully assembled, disc central to pads and move freely - will post some pics tomorrow for a sanity check - thanks
all for the help.

as you say its now central so all ok. this thread has reminded me that mine aren't central. looked quite a lot when i first fitted them but measured disc to caliper and it was 1.5mm difference side to side so 0.75mm of center. due to the brackets for escort rs/capri uprights it wasn't going to be easy to fix so i left it. over 4.5 years, about 4k road miles and 30 odd trackdays later no problems.
