Hi all
Just a quick note. Slight disaster this weekend when one of the alloy type camber adjusters went snap on the car ! Luckily it all held together and
nothing fell off!
Now I've done some research I've found that a few people on here have commented on the parts weaknesses.
So I desided to make myself some stronger steel ones.
What you may not be able to see is the thread for the transit drag link dose not go all the way through to the opposit end of the adjuster so the area
around where the ally one broke is much stronger this time.
I made a matching pair that are a straight replacement for the alloy ones.
As I had to buy some tooling for the lathe at home to make this parts, I can now make a few more if any ones interested. ( just to recoup my outlay)
Here are some pics of the broken one and the new on

I think the same thing happened to a 750mc LC7 whilst racing
How much for a pair in steel?
I was thinking £15 a pair. Plus the P+P
Or collection
I'll take a pair if you can have them delivered to me by 7th May hen my car is being geo setup?

hi david U2U sent mate
Whilst not threading the adjusters right through means there is a decent thickness of material around the external stress-raising section change, the
wall-thickness is still less than ideal and an aluminium adjuster would just fail further along. In steel I think your are pretty unlikely to see a
failure but just in case, it would be worth following Flak's advice and designing the wishbone top bush with a rebate to prevent the adjuster
pulling out:
This could very easily be achieved on an existing wishbone by simply welding a thick washer to the outboard end, and certainly anyone still using
aluminium adjusters would be very wise to do so.
I'll take a pair as well please. If you can pm me payment arrangements and total incuding postage, much appreciated.
Mike
Mine arrived today and they look good.
Thanks
David
I could be interested in a pair of these as a back up.
Any idea if they will fit MNR wishbones?
I will have a pair please. I presume they fit the Rally Design wishbones. How much with postage ?
At Stoneleigh, Rally Design were giving a pair of steel camber adjusters (Part No. RD809 - not currently on the website) to people buying the Locost or Westfield wishbone kits.
Adjusters received today.
Very well made product, would definitely recommend. Delivered quickly.
Thanks again Ryan.
As above, all good, thanks Ryan, top service
Glad you guys are happy with them
im still wondering how long it will be before someone is seriously hurt when one of these fails, i think i was the first to have a failure. at least rally design has kind of accepted/understood they were under par and is now selling steel ones.
Yes a agree the ally ones are really weak. I'd strongly recommend thire steel one over the ally ones .
Apart from a 6 mm hole , the last 15mm of mine are solid steel so that should defiantly make them stong enough to stop them sheering
do you have anymore available
