fixing copper brake lines to braided lines

it there a brake pipe fitting for conecting the copper brake lines in the mnr to the mounting brackets on the chassis? if you connect them directly to the braided lines there is plenty of play in the joint as it does not make contact with the bracket. cheers. i will try to find a pic to explain better.

You should have a 1/4 height nut fitted to clamp to the end of the hose end to the bracket before you fit the pipe.

the brake lines are pre made and flared, there is a nut on the end but even when fastened tight to the thread on the flexi pipes they dont tighten up to the bracket. if that makes sense, (as though the threads are too long on the flexi pipes)

nope, thats coorect, then as said above you have a small nut which tightens the flexi pipe to the bracket, and holds that secure, then the copper pipe screws on to the remaining thread on the flexi pipe

like this
Description
Description

red is the flexi with male thread in yellow, grey is the bracket, brown is the thin brass nut, yellow is the remaining thread, and copper colour is the copper pipe

i see now. the nut goes on the inside of the bracket and secures the flexi. then the copper screws into this. thanks
