Changing from Drums to Discs
SeanStone - 22/4/10 at 11:38 AM

To go from rear sierra drums to discs, what are my options? How is it done? I'd prefer it if there was a way other than using the adaptor plates, they seem like a bit of a crude solution

You need one of these; Sierra (Drum) Conversion Kit Linky

Christ thats expensive!

Nothing that crude about the adapter plates.... Can be got for around £30.... plus some new disks and used calipers from a sierra...... This is the LOCOST forum

Shafts from a disc car? Hubs have the lugs for caliper carriers..

Try the breakers...

When you're guna be running an S2000 engine, stopping becomes a big priority! lol

Dont forget you need to turn down the drive flanges to 134mm, got the brackets from 3GE Componets they do two types caliper on top like mine to fit DeDion or to the rear for IRS

Looks pretty nice actually.

What calipers are they? Standard 2 litre or cossie/4x4?

big-vee-twin - 22/4/10 at 12:07 PM

They are new one's from a 20ltr Sierra, with new discs

That's a 2.0 ltr not 20!!
