I'd need some parts id please.
i'm chaging over to a lsd diff so needed bolt on shafts yada yada,
but they didn't fit my rear uprights, so mnr made me some new ones, low and behold they rub.
now i just sent chris the pics and was told they are not the shafts they have seen/use.
to me they are standard 100mm lobro shafts!?

I think Cossie shafts are beefier than the std Sierra ones - I remember swmbo's dad had to get his cossie shafts turned down where they went into
the uprights as they're slightly bigger than the normal lobros....

these are the shafts they are deffo 100mm

Vinnie cossie shafts are 110 mm afaik
mine are 100 so should be standard 4x4 shafts.
which bit's fouling?
the lobro bolts are fouling, and i think it still needs to go in some more. a few mm.
From what you have said, I take it the bolts are too long, when tightened they should just be flush with the back of the hub part, so maybe the bolts that you have are not the correct ones?? Just a thought, (if I have got it correctly). Cheers Ray
The 100mm lobro joints have M8 bolts and the larger 110 joints use M10, if that helps to clarify which joints you have.
Mal
cossie shafts are thicker than std sierra shafts.
the six bolts that connect the CV joint to the stub axle should sit flush with the holes of the stub axle when completely tightened.

The bolts do stick through buy only about 2mm but the driveshaft still need to go into the hub by about 5mm so the face of the flange would hit the
upright anyway.
anything about my driveshafts that are different then? they are 100mm
but MNR say they are not what they have/use!
the bolts are 50mm M8 same as the original ones, but cap head instead

Whats missing IMO is the locking tabs which are two bolt hole spacers jobbies which fit under the cap end of the bolts 3 per cv joint end 12 in
total this will then prevent to bolts from protuding into the hub end so the CV seats fully into the hub giving you the clearance.

You know i've been scratchin my head( it's now bleeding) wondering why the bolts are pretruding by 2/3mm, knowing they were the right length
bolts
JK, you've saved me from a sleepless night
i don't have any spacer thingys maybe some spring washers will do!?

I used heavy duty spring washers on mine instead of the locking tabs which were a bit ugly and deformed. I torqued them up as per spec and used thread lock for extra safety. Hopefully they won't fall out...
