How to cover this for SVA?
Hi Guys,
Any suggestions welcomed for ideas on how to cover the headlight bolt and nut for SVA.
I intended to crop it and use a plastic nut cover with a hole but the nut is 5/8'' and I can only find metric nut covers

I couldn't find a cover to fit the nuts on my botttom ball joint so I used a small cover on the exposed thread and a grommet stretched round the
hexagon.
Mr SVA failed me on all sorts of other things but seemed happy with that.

I slotted a metric nut cover that was about the right size, made a hole in the end for the cable to come out, then wrapped the lot in some black
electrical tape to about 1" down the conduit.

what about the rubber boot things that go over the nut and gubbins on a junction box?
They sell them in B&Q and come in different sizes. You could cut the end off to allow fitment and then use a tie wrap
Sorry the gubbins is called a gland and apparently the bit I'm thinking of is a gland boot.
Might help, hope it does.

I cut a large nut cover so I could get it round the bolt without removing the wire and stuck it on with a blob of PU. They are still there 3 years
on.

Why not just shorten it?

These are what i've used
I chopped mine down slightly because I removed a bit of the thread on the headlamp. Can easily be trimmed to size. Cut a hole in the nipple end for
the wiring.
Sorted!
