please clarify steering collumn angle
Just mounting my collumn and remembered there was something about a 10-30deg angle to be included. Cant find this rule in the sva manual, it just
advises it, and searching on here hasnt revealed it, so could someone please clarify if and where the angle needs to be?

SVA requirements for steering
I guess that it means that if the angle is greater than 10 degrees it is effective

Thanks, thats the bit i found. Its not really very clear imo, doesnt say that it has to be XXX deg and only shows the angle on the bottom u/j, so you
could just rotate the rack couldnt you? Also cant find any mention of not needing it with a collapsable collumn, but it does make good sense tho.
Anyone passed with less than 10 degrees?? I cant get more than about 7deg on the top u/j without comprimising the wheel position

The way I read that is that you need two places where the steering will collapse or deform.
The fixing to the chassis in the scuttle area needs to be solid. (IMHO)
The steering wheel needs to collapse towards the dash, should the driver hit it,
and the shaft down to the rack needs to be 10 deg plus, or, be telescopic.
I have a collapsible Nova column and a "pipe inside a pipe" for the shaft.
Haven't passed SVA yet but we shall see.
