Back wheels.
Do the back wheels/tyres need to be under the arches both vertically and horizontally from the centre of the wheel. The wheels fit vertically from the
top of the wheel to the floor, but due to the arches curving and becoming thinner the wheels stick out horizontally.

The front of the arch gets thinner.

should be fine. The same rules apply as for the front wheels IIRC. See the recent pics of the MK Sprint R for a better idea of the minimum needed.

Perfectly ok. The sva manual says a vertical line through the wheel centre and the wheel must be under the arch. The tyre can protrude AFAIK...it only
mentions the rim!
As you can see mine are pretty tight! (Mind you theres a 6mm spacer in there so the centre caps will fit on the wheels! )

sorry to hijack but I was gonna post query aboutthe front cycle wings.
viewed from above, the leading edge covers the wheel but there is tyre visible - the sides are all covered.
I'm kinda jittery as I have been seeing a lot of cars on here/ebay etc: that have much longer arches - by that I mean cover a bigger arc of the
tyre.
And I haven't been able to find the definitive part in the SVA manual that says a but of tyre can be protruding.

The front wing must be infront of a vertical line through the forward edge of the wheel rim. There is no requirement at the trailing edge of the
wheel.
The longer arches are mainly for aerodynamic reasons, nothing to do with sva.

the question was the question; I was just saying that I was aware of the longer arches being for aerodynamics; the fact that they cover the front of
the tyre is fortuitous for SVA.

Its irrelevant for SVA as the front of the tyre doesnt need to be covered.
