Well it's finished
Well I've finished I think.
Lets hope the SVA man at Nottingham agrees on Tuesday when he tests it.
Lets hope the DVLA at Nottingham are equally nice.
I know my daughter will be dissaapointed if not cos she's expecting to be picked from nursery in it, seeing she's help build it

Good luck on Tuesday, the guys there are very good. Even if it fails they will put you right for next time. Fingers crossed!!!

most certainly am driving. Too many cops round my way to be able to drive it further than the end of the street, so want give the brakes chance to bed
in a bit.
At least thats my excuse!!
Did make sure the breakdown cover with the insurance would cover it with just a chassis number just in case

The arches edges will need covering...
Are the dimensions from the front arch less then 400mm to the illuminated edge of the indicator? I though even on a locost it exceeded that dimension?
Maybe I'll stand correcting

maybe driving it there wasn't such a good idea after all.
15 miles after leaving home, let it go a bit quicker, and in next village spat all the water out via the header tank. It's amazing how fast you
can get out of a MK.
Suspect it was caused by an air lock in the system cos I'd changed the bottom radiator hose at weekend, and maybe all the air hadn't bled
out properly.
Well I walked about a mile to a shop bought a load of bottles of water and set of again. The water temp stayed spot on then.
Went perfectly for a while and then beating my wife from the traffic lights in the family car it started missfiring like mad.
Came home on a pick up truck. He ho, better luck next time.
Had kept the SVA man at Nottingham informed of my problems and he said when do you want come back, no problem, no money involved.
Whilst not sure what caused the water works, think the missfire was down to a flat battery caused the alternator not charging. Find out on Saturday
Next time it goes on a trailer even though the nearest trailer hire place with shortish notice is 80 mile round trip!
Still it gives me a couple of weeks to try and find what else might cause the SVA man to fail it.
Now how do I drive it on public roads for ten or fifteen miles to check it's sorted. Do they do SVA tests on Sundays officer???

Bad luck with all the problems mate but at least nothing too major, i was waiting for the words "the steering came loose and I ended up in a
ditch" 
Sounds like the testers are a top bunch of blokes, no doubt they'd be perfectly within their rights to charge you a retest fee, nice to have
someone in a position of authority on your side!

I may beat you to being on the road after all
Book it in for an MOT 20 miles away and drive it there, cancel it when u get there and drive home. Your alowd to drive to and from a test
