solid spoke steering wheels

I have just been looking at the Merlin website, they sell solid spoke steering wheels that are sva compliant. Does this mean you don't have to fit a centre pad?

You could always use the sierra wheel for your SVA, and fit the fancy one afterwards. Cos once you have passed they don't come knocking to see if you have changed anything.
