Ours is on the rear bulkhead, quite high up between the two seats.

you can get holders to bolt onto the side, or anywhere convinient. The law specifies where it can go.

i got mine on passender side of the dash, havent got a clue if ts legal or not though. mine is a cheap ally holder with gluey pads so you can stick it
anywhere.
only problem i have come up with so far is when you cover the car in a carpark or something, it wont be visible.
im not sure i would fancy leaving my car out without a cover.

i've seen a few tax cameras, but i've not been pulled.
i suppose the only logical place if not the screen would be the passenger headrest, as long as you don't carry passengers. i considered it and
thought better of it.

Tom I dont think it would matter if you put your cover on! With everything on DVLC computer, a quick index check by plod, would tell them not only if
it was taxed, but MOT'd and insured, and when and where!

I think the fine is not for failure to tax a vehicle but rather failure to DISPLAY the tax disc of a vehicle.
You see the botten rastards can get you at every turn.
If it wasn't for motoring fines this country food be wucked

Yup you are so very right!
Strictly speaking mine is in an illegal place, but, I dont give a damn! Its visable, and not obscuring my vision. So 'stuff 'em'...is
my view on it!...

Alright, road fund licence. Mine's on the dash, lower left. When I fit the new disk I glue it in so if anyone decides they want it they will
have to destroy it to get it unless they take the lot.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

You can see where mine is on this picture...
Same idea as 'givemethebighammer' really - got the disc holder from a bike shop.
