Mirrors with LED repeaters?

The current fashion in the 'normal' car market is to have door mirrors with LED repeaters built into them.
Are they SVA ok or do I need 'normal' repeaters ?

Try giving the SVA a call... as long as they are compliant can't see it being a problem...

That's what I was thinking - they should be visible to all the areas outlined in the SVA diagrams. It also means there is one hole less to drill in the bodywork too

Problem would be running wiring within the 'shell' itself... have thought about it myself. Thought it was a bit 'bling' but very functional...

Seen some self adhesive flexible LED repeaters that would fit most mirrors , hiding the wire would be the only problem with them ?. Haven't seen any aftermarket mirrors suitable with repeaters fitted .

I was actually thinking about making some of my own - taking a suitable mirror, drilling the shell to take an array of water-clear amber leds ......... presto
