Cherished plate
Hi, I've done a quick search and can't find a definitive answer.
I quite fancy a private plate but unsure what I can use. My kit was registered in 2007 but has a 'D' plate on the car. Can I go as far as
an age related plate or am I stuck with anything pre D registration? My thinking is it was registered in 07 so surely classed as a new vehicle,
therefore should be able to use an age related plate or up to that.
Or am I just talking rubbish and completely wrong?
Thanks in advance

You're stuck with D or earlier plate.

Yup, correct - what he said ^^^
I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator
headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names
furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours.

3rds here unfortunately. It is on that age related plate. At least its not a Q Plate. Although, arguably Q are the rarest and most special plates of
all!

To get a new plate the car needs to have been built from all new major components (1 can be recon'd to 'as new' ), so if the car had
a donor, thats what age is used. Other wise an IVA would be a cheap and quick way of making a brand new looking car out of any old tat!

You can use ageless number plates though if you fancy.
