Toggle switches and IVA.

Will a car pass IVA if using something like these with toggle switches?

http://www.cbsonline.co.uk/product/Toggle_Switch_Guard_SWGUARD

Would like to use them as I like the look but will use an IVA safe switch set if not.

Yes, as long as the radius is 2.5 mm (5mm OD).

If you need 5, they are cheaper from the USA. -
( Unless the customs get hold of them and charge you import duty.)

This is my panel using the USA items.

Mmm, not quite. There's an area behind the steering wheel where you can put them without issues.

Cheers. Thinking of using the switch surrounds from a modern mini.

I've got a "spare" set of modern mini-type switches - it's the mini surround and loops that i removed and sprayed plain black, but with illuminated toggle switches (*two green, one blue and three red from memory*) in place of the silver OE items. I decided to change to savage switches instead, if you're interested? Only really after what it owes me, happy to send you some pics if you like....

This is my dash with those switch guards fitted. You can get them from this guy in the states alot cheaper than cbs and they are the exact same thing. Go for the polished $6.99 ones as the $6.00 ones are only 4mm wide and will fail the radius test.

yes they did but I didn't waste my money with the robbers at CBS

Just look at U-bolts, I think mine were about £1.50 each.
