ehxausts...
went to see the pick ups racing at knockhill yesterday. had a great day, but i noticed something. where all the pickups last time i saw them had the
exhaust going all the way to the back of the car, most of them now have a shorter exhaust, finishing just in front of the axle.
I've had a look through, but i can't find, and don't remember anything in the IVA to say where the exhaust was to end.
not particularly clear to see, but could I do this?
Description
I have got a full exhaust system, but its not a brilliant fit, and i wouldn't mind modifying it and shortening it tbh, as i need a bigger
silencer anyway, and a catalytic converter, so whay not just finish it there?

Nearly all 7's exhaust exit in front of the rear arch as do Cobras and Fury's so I don't sees an issue.

that is true, but this would be exiting under the back of the car, not out to the side, like the cars you've mentioned
to give an idea, these exhausts were exiting roughly half way between the prop and the inside of the wheel.
i think i've seen it written somewhere that it wasn't allowed due to gasses possibly getting back inside the passenger area, but i
can't find it now.
can't find any better photos to show it better...

We have a 1 year old Transit at work & the exhaust is in the centre, finishing half way between the engine & the back axle if that makes
sense.
