So did I - mine were spot on! One question - were yours flat or convex glass? My tester said he tested one with the same mirrors on (but quite a
bit smaller) and they weren't convex - they failed.
See mine here...
Description
That's a very sharp, clean, crisp looking car you've got there, Big Wasa - the testers like the cars presented like that. What's the
hole int' bonnet?

Hi Warren
Not sure if the rules have changed since my SVA in 2004 but my rear reflectors failed on the radius edge, your look pretty much the same as mine. I
had to moove them so as the sphere couldnt make contact.
SVA reflector moved

Bob is right - my reflectors were the same - even though they are round. I chamfered the edges with the dremmel. No problem on the IVA test.

With regards to mirrors, am I reading it correctly that external mirrors need to have a min 40h x 70w (mm) rectangular area but also have single point
where vertical height is a min of 70mm?

belts are not allowed, only inertia reel ones. what type are they?

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

Im not so sure that post about static 3 points is correct.
I cant find anything in IVA that concurs.
Edit, see my post here:

just had a quick look, i can only find reference to either harnesses, or 3 point retractor belts. i assume a 3 point harness to be one with 2 shoulder
sttraps, but the top one is fixed in the centre.
also, it says that retracting seat belts must act on the shoulder strap first.
just worth checking with vosa first, thats all

If I am correct, if you don't have an Aeroscreen or windscreen the exempt area on the dash is void

You mean the one I linked above?
With regards to the specified zone, the only quotes I can find realting to that and windscreens is this:
Annex 3 Boundary of Interior Zone
Where a vehicle is not fitted with a hood/roof the interior/exterior boundary should be taken to be the mid point between interior and exterior on for
example the windscreen pillar, top edge of body side and top edge of door. Where the front of the passenger compartment abuts the front scuttle /
bonnet panel and no windscreen is fitted) the interior / exterior boundary shall be 25mm towards the front from the abutment. Other areas of the
vehicle are considered to be "exterior" including the area to the rear of the specified zone.

The info I got on the 3 point harness and the reason for my post in the IVA section regarding them comes from a IVA heads up on page 150 of the car

As much as I trust a catalogue for reliable information!, I'd be taking the manual as the bible, and I think Ive already quoted the paragraphs
that dicate they are OK, unless anyone has read something ive missed and cares to clarify.
Its been mentioned before, but the kitcar and parts industry is rarely on the ball when it comes to IVA stuff, most still quote SVA approved on their
products or mention it to some degree in their litrature

I have same foglight as you. IVA didn't like it as they said not secure. The fixing bracket is very flimsy and flexes. I'm going to make
up a wedge to mount it solidly to the rear while maintaining vertical.
If you keep the same upper seatbelt mounts you should cover the fixing bolts to protect pedestrians.

I'm addicted to brake fluid, but I can stop anytime.
