Someone on here the other week said that his had passed with aircraft - type buckles, as they could be opened in one movement with one hand - they
were Luke harnesses iirc.
To be on teh safe side, I've gone for the push button ones....

Schroth do (or used to at least) an FIA approved harness which has a button style release. Assuming it has the correct E/EC markings on it, from my
understanding this would go through an SVA. Might be worth looking for a set of those.

Mine passed with these last year, and i've got them on the newbuild too.
think it all depends on where you go for sva
ps they only have FIA dates on them 2013 i think.

I have just bought these harnesses. I believe that the luke ones pass because you can operate with one hand (and either hand) so the schroth ones are
the same and require less force the more they are turned to open.
The sva don't like the round ones with the protrusion (arm) as they could spear you (apparently)
So I'm taking a gamble on the schroth ones with the above in mind. Lets hope they are ok.
Steve.

sva manual says E mark is only one of the accepted markings, there's planty of others. and as long as the release can be undone with one hand,
in a single move then its fine. no where does it say aircraft buckles aren't allowed. and yes, people have passed with them

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!
