Good point. Ironically, I threw my toe rope in the Westfield Friday when I took it for an emissions check.
I'll probably get the wife to follow me to the test centre.
Exactly what I am doing too. Wife following me with my tools in the car and a tow rope just in case.
Not so sure I would let my wife tow me in a car!
SWMBO towed me a few miles home after I inadvertently put petrol in a diesel car. She wasn't overly confident about doing it, but personally I
was more pissed off with myself than worried about her towing. Got home safe and sound and the car was sorted the next day with no ill effects.

Well to avoid any issues now, a mate is lending me his car with a tow bar and I have hired a trailer for the day so I will be all clear should the car
fail its IVA. This will avaoid any issues with me breaking down or failing the test.
I will just have to wait longer before I can drive it now.

Warning - granny sucking eggs statement -
And load the car engine towards the car, don't back on, weight should be over the tow bar no the back end.

Are they providing wheel straps with the trailer Martin? I've got some here if you need them. Pete
