SVA on Tuesday, photos to check for silly mistakes

Hello,

With the weekend set aside for car action in advance of SVA test on Tuesday I want to check to see if I had missed anything obvious. I will create a photo archive called SVA but please have a look at these to see if I have missed anything obvious, cheers. Rescued attachment DSC02106a.JPG

is the leading edge of your cycle wings in front of the furthest forward part of your alloy rims?

Looks good by the way.

A very nice looking car.

Does the trim on the "door" apperture have a 2.5mm radius?
Is the rear fog light vertical?
Is the square plate under the headlight contactable with the dreaded sphere or correctly radiused?
Are the front indicators within 400mm of the edge of the car.

Otherwise, very tidy.

you may need some protection on the adjuster at the bottom of the spring on your front shocker

Are the mirrors high enough? As already suggested some protection for the front spring adjustors . Some radio controlled car tyres would fit OK. Did you get your engine running properly? Break a leg.

Very nice looking motor but where is the fog light??? If as I suspect it's on the offside then you've got a problem because there has to be a minimum seperation of 100mm from a brake light sorry to pee on your chips and that but better now than later fail. it'll be an easy sort though.

If it looks wrong it probably is wrong.

Thanks for the +ve comments.

I think I have most of the things highlighted covered or will do so. The one that has got me is the 100mm separation of the fog & brake light, can anybody else confirm that?

The test centre is Edmonton, they were very reasonable when I took my last kit 4 years ago. However, the engine isn't running at the moment so I have a race against time on that one.

I have got the same thing..
i used fiat coupe lights and they have them integrated together with the direction lights... they are E-Marked...(fiat / valeo is the brand)

So basicly i cant move the fog without moveing the direction light

What would they do/say???

Tks

SVA manual states 100mm sep from a stop light to fog light. - If they fail you on it all you need to do for the re test is disconnect the one you have and fit a bracket with one on in the correct place.

the underside of the front light mounting will need trim all the way round it.

Good luck..

Paul

Rear reflectors?

Looks nice Steve. Where are you taking it for SVA as I'm in Wood Green and will probably have to tale it there too.

Edit to say -

Edmonton - right

I have an old fog light that I can mount on the back of the car for the test so it wont be an issue. I didn't know about it though so I am very pleased I put the post on.

Well it passed and I am delighted. Just had to cover a wire with trunking and everything sailed through. I can recommend Edmonton as a centre, the chap was really trying to make sure everything was acceptable.

Off to the DVLA centre now.

Brilliant
