2.0 Zetec to RX8 5 Speed box
PaulM - 1/4/16 at 12:39 PM

Looks like I'm going to go this route as I can't get the zetec and MT75 to sit low enough in the engine bay and still have enough clearance to the chassis rails. The RX8 box is narrower around the bell housing so I think it should work (fingers crossed!). I have the adapter plate and clutch already.

Hopefully someone here has already tried this so questions are....

- Do I have to use the hydraulic clutch or can I convert it to cable?
- Any advice on starter motors?
- Is there anywhere selling a prop ready to go or do I need to buy an RX8 prop and have it mated up to the one already in the car?

Lots of info here http://www.turbosport.co.uk/showthread.php?t=500016 (note this starts of about a guy called pycho making adaptors and then morphs into freddy686868 doing the same folowing issues, worth reading the whole thread if you can, lots of info in there).

Freddy686868 does an adaptor plate either through turbosport or he sells on eBay, waiting for the final version of the zetec SE/sigma for my car. He should be able to help on starter motors.

Cable clutch needs some work, info in the link above but I am considering using a long cable and pulling the standard arm from the rear otherwise it means chopping holes in the bell housing.

There are a number of places doing props, got a quote this week for £155+vat foran rx8 to English diff again info in the link. Remeber the rx8 prop is carbon fibre, I am trying to find someone to shorten one but had no joy yet.
