Today I received my JK composites seats, awesome!

So I threw them in the car to get at bit of a feel for them and to see how I will mount them. The drivers seat has the base mount option and I want to put in on runners. Most runners are at least a few cm thick (about three seems to be the minimum?). I removed the BMW runners I had and figured that if I could mount them next to the seat (both sides), almost no additional height is needed.

However at 4.5cm these runners are too wide. What seem to be the smallest ones? I need them to be 3cm or below to get it all to fit.

Just wondering whether this is an option. Thanks!

P.S. Would it not be possible to angle the runners 90 degrees and load them from the side (so to speak)?

Runners from an Austin Metro are about 20mm thick and are very easy to narrow.

I've used Fiesta runners in the past. Very low profile, and easy to source.

Thanks guys. The 20mm seems acceptable.

However, I might not have made myself clear in the first post. Probably should have written narrow instead of small.

The idea would then be to fit them next to the seat and mount the seat with a L profile or something like that. That way I could have them only some 5mm above the floor panel.

Has anybody done something like that?
