How do all. unfortunatley i failed. but a good fail if that makes sense, still half asleep!
fails as follows
1. headlamp aim too low
2 emissions too high 7.5!!!
3 speedo was way off the mark, apparently we were doing 80mph in the carpark, tester was driving while i was having a nap in the passenger seat!!
4. last but not least the main one which prevented the others being sorted on site.
I FORGOT TO DRILL AND PIN THE BLOODY BIAS BAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
all in all the tester was a really sound chap. he going to try and fit me in asap, he just told me to sort out roll pins and we can do the rest on
retest.
thanks for all the support guys.
here a sneaky pic of the beast.

do you have to use roll pins, or can you use split pins?
well done
sorry about the speedo
did it pass braking test though...............
if not, before you split etc then take it to a friendly mot centre
(beware the braking test for sva is more stringent tahn mot)
60% to rears for sva 56% for mot
no he wanted roll pins, even showed me the book where it said.
and yes passed breaks fine. although at first brake were crap as he took it for spin first and done all outside bits first as it was going to rain.
brakes require a good stamping on to slow down.

well done - that isn't bad at all - I had 2 1/2 pages for failed stuff.
but there is not hurry as there is no more good weather this year (unless you like warm rain).
He should have allowed you to drill and roll pin the brake bias bar at the end of the test.
All the other points you should have been able to tweak during the test.
I think he was a bit hard on you, you should have passed it mate.

As you rightly said, a good fail!
Sort it and get it passed!
Steve
Hard luck! At least now you've got a fail you know what jobs to sort. Get the re-test booked...before you fall asleep.

Hard luck mate. Looks a good build too. I really like that idea with he carbon canards to protect the upper bone and things from SVA.
'here a sneaky pic of the beast.'
Yeh he looks a bit of a beast, thought you said he was ok though?
i thought of those covers at 3 am before the test. they are just pieces of foamex with fake carbon film. worked a treat and looks half decent.
rob
unlucky mate
hope you get the reset soon
