Passed first time and i was in and out in just under 2 hours.
The guy at Edmonton was the nuts, had a quick look over the car, and didn’t even check any edges, bottom of dash, bolt grades. He said the car look
well prepaired so this test should be easy - i had to sit down i was in shock
Said the brakes were great, and my self-centring was amazing for a 7-style car, and my weight was split 50/50. My speedo was just under all the way up
the scale.
A quick tweak of the emissions and i was passed, talk about crapping myself for the pass month getting it ready.
I cant recommend highly enough the Edmonton guy Geoff.
Now just to sort out the DLVA side of things.

well done sounds like a great pass will be there soon myself (i hope)
Congratulations...I really dont think the test is as bad as some people would have you believe, mine certainly wasn't. I reckon if the tester
sees that you have made a real effort to follow the regulations and present a well built car they are on a positive from the offset.
Anyway, happy motoring.
To be honest, the Edmonton tester is pretty nice
congratulations, any pictures?
God, I wish it was that easy up here
Congratulations, you'll have to look out for one of the Essex meets.
Where are you in Essex?
Steve
Congrats - good luck with registration
ATB
Simon
great feeling isnt it
now go get yourself a beer
I have always said that turning up with a car that looks good (and shows that you've really tried) is 75% of the battle.
Congratulations!
Cheers guys.
Im in Chafford Hundred near lakeside in Essex, as for photos, i cant believe it, ive took thousands of photos over the last 3 1/2 years for the build
diary and i haven’t got any of the finished car, better get the camera out again.
Well done that man.
Nice one!!!!
so where are the pics?!!!
in my experience the testers aren't orgres and they do want you to pass it is just that they have to work to a set of rules.
Congrats & well done! As Steve (Amalyos) said you must come along to one of the Essex meets soon - we need all the new faces we can get! I'm away for a couple of weeks hols, but will try to get something organised for another meet on my return.
The car is ready up on stands due to a hair line crack in the ali sump.
But here is a few pics
