Quick one, need to add (quickly!) a lambda boss the my manifold as I have decided to get my 7 rolling roaded and get the injection set up properly now
rather than later.
The lambda boss will have to go in the top of the 2:1 collector, which puts it right in sva man's radius gauge territory (no there is not enough
clearance underneath or on the inside edge of the pipe)
Any ideas for making rad's big enough to pass?
put something over it ???
is it the sensor or the boss that you worried about ?
have you got a pic ?
just the boss, no pic yet, not welded in yet (just ordering from Nick Skidmore)
Get a little plug turned up with a domed hat to give you the required radius.
If you've got access to a mill, could knock up quite a nice little plug with a bolt on cover which goes down far enough to meet the pipes too,
for a proper "wart" looking job.
beat me to it - thats pretty much what I was thinking
a less pleasant solution would be to use 2 semi-circular plates with split aluminium tubing over the outer edge.
tea cosy!

I've got one that came with my lc-1 complete with plug that you can have for a few beer tokens if you like. Welcome to pick it up tonight if you
want to get it done.

Am I missing something?
Don't you just turn a rad on the boss when it's in the lathe being I/D'd & tapped?
Paul G
yep should be like that paul but I'll prob burn the edge off when welding or somesuch daft thing knowing me!!
Just wanted to cover all posibilities and someone has usually done something clever.
I'll spin up an ally dome that presses into the hex socket if I eff the job up!
PS thanks for the offer but already ordered from Nick, I need three of them anyway (one for the 7 and two for the engines in the grasser)
