exhaust mount shield

someone was aksing me about this - just got round to tkaing the photo

the mounting bracket/bolt is not SVA friendly on a lot of exhausts; here is my propsed solution.

An curved ali strip with a bit folded back on itself (so is like s 'T' with curved top) for the bolt is fitted; 8 mm round tube on the edges - photo should say it all.

Will see if it gets through retest that I hope to do early in the new year.

That's very similar to mine. Should be fine.

don't thnk so - it is the exhaust bracket edges are a problem too - unless the shere doesn't contact them.

I did put a nut cover ofthe nut for SVA 1 that I have to peel off (melted like cheese )

I did something like that on mine. Curved ali, fitted u trim to the edges and bonded it on with Wurth stuff. Passed no probs. Bracket is post silencer so doesnt get overly hot.
