Did i buy the right fuel hose for SVA ?
marcotuinenburg - 7/6/06 at 06:39 PM

Last week i bought 5 meter of normal fuel hose, it's a clear sort, just the normal kind of hose.
Yesterday a friend askes me if this was the righr one for SVA specifications, are there any special specifications for the fuel hose i would like to use ?

Thanks,

Marco

I'mm 99.9% sure it has to me marked for use for fuel on the side so the stuff you have bought will not pass SVA. The stuff you want is black 8mm fuel tubing marked as such.

Anyone please correct me if i'm wrong.

Yes, but you will still probably need some "proper" rubber or braided fuel hoze for the ends wherr it joins the pump/engine.
You may find you can get copper microbore plumbing pipe very cheaply.

If this is for your main fuel line, tank to engine, copper is just fine. Just make sure that any hoses connecting from it to tank, and carb are the correct type hose, "ie" marked as such. atb Chippy.

Reman, just beat me to it

Clear hose is a fail as it becomes brittle when exposed to petrol.

You can buy the rubber stuff at most places like Halfords etc.
