I don't really want to use one of those suction rear view mirrors and was wondering what permanently fixed mirrors people have used for SVA that look ok.

This is from a Fiesta mounted on a tapered base to get sufficient adjustment. Drilled & tapped a hole in the base to fix to the scuttle.

look out for a Skoda Felicia (first of the VW ones) in the scrappies, the base is very long, and the mirror part has a dipping mechanism and is clearly E marked

I made mine using a Sierra mirror. Below is a picture of David Jenkins' mirror. Mine is exactly the same as I nicked his design! It was easy to make and cost nothing!
