mudguard position

Pajsh said that one point of failure for him was because mudguards didn’t come forward and didn’t cover wheel rim. Has anyone some information about the rule and do you think my wings would pass the SVA ? Rescued attachment wing.jpg

One of rules is that the wing must come forward enough to at least cover a vertical line from the front edge of the wheel rim (not the tyre, the actual rim). So judging by your pic, it looks like you'll be ok.

Which is of course a nonsensical rule cos my car will fail on that basis, but pass if I put 14" rims on it!!!

May need to take some Sierra wheels with me!!

Gutball is right, mudguard plan form must cover the rim not the tyre. They used a spirit level vertically to test mine.

I found nothing in the SVA Manual on mudguards at all and I'm not even sure where this is now.

Daft rule as I can't see the difference between the rim and the tyre. Still that's the rule.

BTW I payed my £39 for the manual but don't think I got much more than the draft I downloaded from the net. I should have saved my money. I'll probably be selling it soon.
