Hi all, I have a heat shield currently fitted to the exhaust, it's got a folded over edge but probably no more than 3-4mm in total. Is this a no go for the IVA test? In tomorrow so not sure if I should leave on or take it off.

A rolled edge will be fine, mine passed IVA without a problem. I took a file and emery cloth just in case, but didn't need them,

Never bothered with a heatshield on my MK Indy. Passed SVA without comment and even though the exhaust was on the drivers side nobody ever got burnt. Pay attention when kids are around the car and make sure they know not to touch it!

Keep a bit of edge trim handy and some silicon sealant.
It’ll probably fall off after IVA
