Raise them a bit more into the wider part of hole?

I can't raise them anymore as I'll not have enough thread on the eye bolts.

I think cutting the bottom of the seat hole lower would be the easiest option

Is the spacer okay and/or do I need a locking nut at the bottom where the boss is?
